The current Wilkos site will be transformed to provide a new state of the art library and business centre, and those plans are now one step closer with the relocation of the much-loved shop.
Many residents have asked about future of the old Woolworths site, and we can now confirm that Wilkos will be relocating to the site and bring the shop back into full use once again.
Cllr Kris Wilson, Leader of the Council, commented:
Wilko’s is an integral part of Nuneaton Town Centre, and the move to the old Woolworth’s site will ensure their presence in Nuneaton for years to come.
Regenerating Nuneaton is essential to building a better future for our town, and this move with enable a new state of the art library and business centre to be built.
This is yet another positive step forward in Transforming Nuneaton.
